THYREA ecosystem mapping and reforestation

Our local Blue Heart, Maria Paraskevopoulou is the driving power and project manager of the local THYREA ESG initiative, enabling nature-based solutions empowered by people and technology. "Thyrea" in the Argonian golf is the door to the sea where the Spartans boarded. Lots of legends passed this area, during the rich history of the region.

Now local diving clubs contribute to the mapping of the coastal ecosystems and biodiversity with the purpose to define areas for reforestation and marine protected areas (MPA's). The project roadmap is yet to be announced in the course of April 2023 as part of the THYREA ESG initiative in collaboration with Meraki People and local authorities.
